Workshop Branch

Detail of operations carried out by the Workshop Branch:

1. Servicing, repairing and maintenance of vehicles allotted to every office-bearer at Mahesana Municipal Corporation, and vehicles at Vehicle Pool.
2. Insurance, R.T.O. Passing, and registration-related operations of all vehicles owned by the Vehicle Pool of MMC.
3. All work related to the tender process for the procurement of new vehicles and machineries.
4. Preparation of technical specifications of items/equipment related to procurement, repair, and maintenance as per the requirement of MMC, obtaining approval, and managing the complete tender process.
5. Verification of monthly bills of different make/model vehicles under the "Operation and Maintenance" contract of MMC and conducting site visits as required.
6. Procurement of tyres, batteries, oil-lubricants, etc., for all make/model vehicles of officers, vehicle pool, and tire puncture services.
7. Payment of monthly petrol-diesel bills for each vehicle managed by the Vehicle Pool.
8. Disposal of scrapped vehicles of MMC through auction.
9. Public services provided by the Workshop Branch:
   • Water tanker for drinking water supply
   • Water tanker for construction works, businesses, spraying on plants, and other uses
   • Water tanker for dirty water supply
   • Hearse van for dead body ambulance service
   • Mobile Toilet
